Take time every night for self-nurturing. Dr. Christiane Northrup, author of Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom, suggests that at bedtime, you look back over your day and see where you have invested your energy. Give yourself credit for all the things you have accomplished, focusing on what you have completed rather than on what you still have to do. Also notice if you are troubled by something that happened or if you are irritated with anyone. Strong feelings indicate that part of your energy still remains with the situation. Before you go to sleep, call your energy home so it will be available to renew and heal your body during the night.
