When the day is done and I am undone, O God, restore me. Let me try again to do what I’m meant to do. And if I’m not meant for anything in particular, orient me toward a doing and a being that is useful. Let me be part of the free market, of love, affection, respect, usefulness, whether I get paid well for it or not. Amen.
