Why do you notice the speck of sawdust in your neighbor's eye but fail to see the log in your own? [Gospel Q 20]

What annoys us in others is often a small version of what exists on a larger scale in ourselves. Why is it always so much more attractive to do our neighbor's practice rather than to do our own? We are all human, all imperfect.

Daily Prayer: Help me to look at others today with compassion and to direct my critical tendencies to my own practice.
