We praise you, O God, we acclaim you as Potter:
a patient and precise artist,
you prepare the clay, you model perfect form, you delight in design.
Your labor in shaping your human creations is endless:
yesterday repairing a crack, today refluting the rim, tomorrow adding a touch of new color,
never in righteous exasperation smashing us to bits.
Make me content to be the vessel that you have formed.
Mold us all for your purposes,
that we may embody your creativity
and manifest your mastery,
to the glory of your consummate name.
