Every single thing has its shadow, and in order to allow shadow to be fully in life — which is how I imagine dealing with it — we have to allow and invite the emotions, the meanings, and the activities of each thing's shadow. Only by letting it exist fully in our world and in our lives does the good in its makeup become available to us.
