What is Twitter?
Twitter is a free blogging platform designed for 140 character posts answering the question, "What are you doing?" Posts called "tweets" can be sent via the Internet or as text messages from a phone. Already millions of people are using Twitter to keep in touch with friends, media outlets, and their favorite causes.
To join Twitter yourself, just go to www.Twitter.com. Once you get set up, you can use the search function to find people to "follow." You then receive their tweets on your account page.
