Film ReviewBy Frederic and Mary Ann BrussatBack to the Future Directed by Robert Zemeckis Universal Studios Home Video 06/85 DVD/VHS Feature Film PG Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) lives in California with his alcoholic mother, weak father, and two siblings. He plays guitar, loves skateboarding, and dates a delectable girl. When his mad scientist friend (Christopher Lloyd) creates a time machine out of a DeLorean car, McFly uses the vehicle and is zapped back to 1955. His father (Crispin Glover) and mother (Lea Thompson) are students in the same high school Marty attends. His mission on this trip is to draw these two together not an easy task given that Lorraine is dreamy and George is a wimp. How Marty plays matchmaker, capitalizes on his musical gift, and gets back to the 1980s provide the laughs in this entertaining movie.
