Ready for another 007 thriller replete with dazzling settings (Los Angeles to Venice to Rio de Janeiro), suspenseful chase sequences, beautiful women (Lois Chiles as a CIA agent posing as world renowned scientist and Corinne Clery as a helicopter pilot), and new mercenary gadgets from the British secret service? Moonraker (which begins with a battle in mid-air between 007 and an assassin over a single parachute) is a freefall of fun-filled entertainment. Roger Moore remains unflappable as James Bond. He does his best to embarrass Drax (Michael Lonsdale), a dastardly millionaire who has a scheme afoot to set up a new world in outer space after destroying the civilizations of the earth. And as a special twist, Bond's arch enemy "Jaws" (Richard Kiel) turns out to have something else on his mind than death and destruction.
A freefall of fun-filled entertainment.
