The most mature kind of love is when we love people we don't even know. We might call it two-wheeler love. This kind of love is the least supported of all. We rarely get paychecks or rewards for it. We rarely get reimbursed emotionally or otherwise. There are no expense accounts attached to mature love. But we are called to do it all the time.
Tricycle love gives us families, connection, and help with the mortgage. Training-wheel love gives us friends and the chance to become an individual, a self. Two-wheeler love gives us choices and responsibilities and helps make life joyful and good.
