Suzanne Stabile offers these tips for people who are Enneagram Type Sevens:

“It’s okay to be more serious and stable. Embrace maturity and age.

“Be aware of your potential for skating on the surface of things. The depth you miss is where the goodies are; if you go there, you will find it very satisfying.

“All good spiritual work involves awareness and self-reflection. You have a tendency to lack balance here — you’re often either too hard on yourself or not challenging enough. There’s a difference between criticism and honest self-evaluation.

“Keep in mind that you are in the Fear Triad, so you sometimes substitute an idea of what pain is like for the tension of living through the real thing. The latter offers you strength. Your imagination offers very little in relation to experiencing the pain and the deep fear that comes with it.

“Recognize that because you are so charming, you have always gotten away with a lot. Unfortunately, the lesson you learn is that you are entitled to some kind of special treatment.

“Commit to using thinking for its express purpose, not as a substitute for doing or feeling."
