Molly enjoys her role as an only child until Chloe arrives. Her little sister is nothing like her at all: she colors with crayons and Chloe just eats them. She loves books; Chloe tears them up. But after listing all the things that bother and irritate her about Chloe, she has a change of heart and realizes that differences are good, and it is not her house alone but a place for both of them to grow up together.

Illustrator Micah Player convincingly conveys the hot emotions of an only child who is both threatened and put off by the arrival of a sibling. She experiences anger, jealousy, and disappointment before calming down and coming to an acceptance of her little sister who is her own person.
