Andrew Harvey is an Englishman born in India and educated at Oxford, who at the age of 21 became the youngest fellow in the history of All Soul's College. He is the author of many books including Recovering the Divine Feminine: Exploring the Feminine Face of God Around the World.

On this one-hour interview with New Dimensions Radio host Michael Toms, Harvey talks about the historical basis and current resurgence of the Sacred Feminine. He sees the Mother Figure represented in the major religions of the world. The appearances of Mary in the 1990s and the new fascination with the Black Madonna signal a revival of respect for the immanence of the divine in passionate relationship to the world.

Harvey offers insights into the Divine Mother as experienced and elucidated by Hindu spiritual teachers Sri Ramakrishna and Sri Aurobindo. He is convinced that the transformative power of the Sacred Feminine can lead to a new stage of humanity.
