"A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life depends on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the measure as I have received and am still receiving." –Albert Einstein

Tomorrow, when you wake up, ask to be of use as you go through your day. It needs to be in your own words, from your heart. Here are some examples:

  • "May I make a difference in the world today."
  • "May I be of service to one person."
  • "May I notice myself and others."
  • "May I give the gift that only I can give."

Notice how that reverberates throughout the day.
If you prefer, you can say this beautiful Buddhist verse:

May I become at all times, both now and forever
A protector for those without protection
A guide for those who have lost their way
A ship for those with oceans to cross
A sanctuary for those in danger
A lamp for those without light
A place of refuge for those who lack shelter
And a servant to all in need
