Think about your different social media and technology accounts. What purpose do you want each to serve? Who do you want to be able to contact you and when? How much time do you want to spend on social media and screens each day? Take some time to get clear about this. Then start putting your boundaries in place. Compartmentalize your social media and technology use. Make use of smartphone and social media features such as screen time limits, blocking, muting, and lists. Give yourself permission to make your networks echo chambers, especially if you are a Black woman, a person of color, LGBTQIA+, or a progressive living in conservative spaces. You have no obligation to give other people unfettered access to your life.
