"In your mind's eye, go to a room that is comfortable and relaxing . . . Settle into a favorite chair or some large pillows . . . When you are ready, pull down a blank screen in front of you . . . You are going to create a vision of your life five years from today . . . You are looking for what you have done with your dreams . . . your purpose . . . your power . . . in the next five years. You are looking at the future you intend to create . . .

"First look in the mirror and see yourself . . . How do you look? . . . What are you wearing? . . . Have you changed from how you look today? . . . . . .

"Now look around you. What is the place you are in? . . . What environment have you created for yourself? . . . . . . Walk through this space . . . Take your time . . . Notice the colors, sounds, smells, textures of your environment . . . Who is with you here? . . . Find your working space . . . What is it like? . . . What have you created around yourself in the space where you create? . . . . . .

"What are you working on, five years from today? . . . . . .

"What has happened to your dreams and projects now? . . . . . .

"The telephone rings. It is a call for you . . . Who is it and what do they want? . . . . . .

"A reporter comes by to interview you. The reporter asks the following questions. What do you reply?

  • What is your greatest success or achievement? . . . . . .
  • What has been the greatest crisis you overcame to get here? . . . . . .
  • What's the best advice someone has ever gave someone else? . . . . . .
  • What's the most exciting part of your life right now? . . . . . .
  • What role has your spiritual journey played in who you are and what you have accomplished? . . . . . .
  • What's your next goal or project? . . . . . .

"When you are finished talking with the reporter, walk again through your environment. Choose one thing to bring back with you, one symbol will guide you from here to your vision . . .

"When you are ready, return to the room with the movie screen . . . Follow your breath back to this room . . . Emerge out of the silence of your body . . . There is no hurry . . .Stretch your body . . . Open your eyes . . .
