Penguin is perplexed. A talent show is just around the bend and he can't come up with an act to perform. His three best friends, Bear, Rabbit, and Fox, encourage him and are convinced that he has many talents. But Penguin can only watch as the show goes on and the winners are announced. His buddies decide to cheer their friend up with a party. Much to their surprise, Penguin discovers that his hidden talent is organizing things!

Alex Latimer, a South African author and illustrator, tells this upbeat story with playful images of the talent show and Penguin's quest to find his gifts. There are many little humorous bits peppered throughout the tale. Penguin's Hidden Talent has been written for children ages 4 to 8.
