Repulsion can be an especially powerful force for creation and change. When I am repelled by something, there is an intense connection and movement, as contrasted to the deadpan of equilibrium. Conflicts define, stir, and recuperate. The process of change is built upon abuses and the transformative forces they release. If I hate what someone is doing, I am deeply involved with it. Extreme positions grasp us one way or the other and proliferate strong spirits.
