While angels are as attentive to God as they are to us humans, they are bound also to earth, water, air and fire. They stir waters that heal and they are guardian spirits of places of refuge and safe haven. They wrestle with us, like Jacob, and leave us limping but with a blessing. They struggle and teach us how to do battle with spirit as well as flesh.
