To touch base with an 'authentic self,' our soul, becomes ever more difficult. Our individual human tendency to believe our own publicity has never been greater. As Yeshua points out, we can become so veiled by the flattery of others that we can no longer look honestly into the mirror of our own hearts and find a true reflection.

John’s Gospel reports that Jesus didn’t entrust his naphsha [self/breath] to the opinion of others because he knew how rapidly those opinions could change and how forgetful human beings could be.”
