A striped tiger and a spotted leopard, two youngsters, leave their families behind and venture out into the jungle with the same hunger pangs. They come across some bugs, a chipmunk, a turtle, some butterflies, a chattering band of monkeys, and birds. But they soon find out that these creatures will not provide them with the meal they are seeking.

A fierce crocodile in a river turns the tables on them sending the little tiger and the little leopard running back into the jungle. Luckily for these two inexperienced ones, their mothers show up to rescue them and take them home.

Dahlov Ipcar, writer and illustrator, has fashioned an enchanting tale about the restlessness and playfulness of youth as the little striped tiger and the spotted panther share an adventure that introduces them to the difficulties of hunting and the fun of friendship.
