Book ReviewBy Frederic and Mary Ann BrussatBig and Small, Room for All Jo Ellen Bogart Tundra Books 02/09 Hardcover $18.95 ISBN: 9780887768910 In this magical children's book for kids ages 2 to 4 years of age, we learn that the world is comprised of things big and small. We move from the immensity of the galaxies where we encounter big sky and small sun to a flea and "a world of things / too small to see." In between we consider the varying sizes of mountain to tree to man to child to kitten to mouse. Along the way, we open our eyes wide in wonder as we see how we humans fit nicely in the scale of things in the world. We are not the be-all and the end-all but just another part of creation. Jo Ellen Bogart is the author of many best-selling children's books. Gillian Newland is an artist living and working in Toronto, Canada. Her watercolor paintings are perfectly matched to the inspirational text.
