The Sufis are brothers and sisters to each other, and they seek to open their hearts, their homes, and their hands to each other. This is powerful medicine to cure the possessiveness of the ego. At the level of haqiqa, "there is no mine and no yours." This represents a whole new level of understanding, a realization that all things come from God, all things will return to God, and we are only caretakers and "possess" nothing. This realization brings about real independence from the world; we lose our attachment to money, fame, and material possessions. At the level of marifa, "there is no 'me' and no 'you'." The prophets and saints have realized all is God, and nothing is separate from God. They have attained Unity.
