At the end of the day, no matter what you do, how much you give, do you ever feel discouraged or disappointed in yourself? In the midst of your call to love, to serve, to be of use, do you find yourself worrying you may never again feel confident you have done enough?

Do you even remember what enough feels like?

If you are ever unsure about your answers to these questions, we invite you to join Wayne Muller for this e-course on how some simple choices you make each and every day can slowly and gently help you discover what's enough for you, and what is a sufficiently beautiful contribution to the world.

Wayne Muller is an executive leadership mentor, a psychotherapist, minister, community advocate, and author; he is profiled as a Living Spiritual Teacher at S&P. His book Sabbath Finding Rest, Renewal, and Delight in Our Busy Lives was an S&P Award winner as one of the Best Spiritual Books of 1999, and his A Life of Being, Having, and Doing Enough was one of the Best Spiritual Books of 2010.

Describing the impetus for this e-course, Muller says: "People I meet take me aside and confess they feel exhausted, overwhelmed, and discouraged in their life and work, no matter what they do." The world calls us to work harder and longer; we think that if we can just get more tasks done, or more things accumulated, or more connections made, then maybe we can stop. But we don't give ourselves permission to rest.

Without rest and renewal, our best gifts become increasingly diminished. Over time, even the most generous among us feel defeated and unworthy. Lacking clear support for the authentic value of our life and work, we surrender to an increasingly common conclusion: Nothing we do will ever be enough.

The spiritual traditions, however, teach us that embedded in our true nature is a deep sufficiency. With reliable permission to stop and to rest, we more easily access the truths about our wholeness, the beauty of our healing presence, the light in us that cannot be extinguished, and our innate sense of wisdom and intuition. When we reclaim these tools, we can shape the pace of our days to liberate the best of who we are, and bring our true wealth to our life and our work.

This nourishment is available to us at "Choice Points" we encounter throughout every day. This e-course will show you how to use those moments to recalibrate your inner compass, choose the star that will guide you, and reclaim what your heart already knows is sufficient for each and every moment.

"Discovering What's Enough with Wayne Muller" consists of 12 lessons delivered by email. Through reflections by Wayne Muller, you will receive the practical tools to discern the next right thing to do as you make choice after choice during the day until you know what is enough for you. You will also be able to listen to two one-hour teleconferences with Wayne Muller recorded when this retreat was first offered.
