John Fox presents workshops on the interface between meaning-making and writing poetry. In Poetic Medicine: The Healing Art of Poem-Making, he challenges us to listen to what is happening around us and use it as a source of poems. He has gathered poems by ordinary people that explore the pain and love between parent and child; reflections on intimacy, marriage and longing; and attitudes about loss, illness, and death. Poetry emerges from listening to our deepest emotions, and listening to poetry enables us to hear others on the deepest levels.
