"In my church, we have a potluck supper after the worship service each week. Everybody who can afford to brings something. Nobody goes around with a yellow pad and asks people what they're bringing next week; we just trust in God and one another and do the best we can. And every week there is a wonderful meal — a little lopsided once in a while, maybe, but wonderful nonetheless. A good model of the way life is: worrying about what you may not have in the future — or what you do not have now — will not add a red cent to what you have. Do your best and step out in trust and you will get what you need — or you will find a way to manage without it.
