In Don Juan DeMarco the lead character is a delusional young man (Johnny Depp) who is convinced he is the world's greatest lover. He regales his psychiatrist, Jack Mickler (Marlon Brando), with phantasmagorical tales about his first time with a woman, his romantic adventures with a harem of women in Arabia, and his depression over being rejected by the one woman he truly loved. Mickler is so mesmerized by the young man's appreciation for the inner beauty of women that he uses some of his techniques to revive his own listless marriage.

Don Juan DeMarco is an enchanting fable propelled by the acting charms and charisma of its two stars. Writer and director Jeremy Leven celebrates romantic love as a candle that must constantly be relit by wonder, devotion, and creativity.
