Forget Paris is a delightfully developed and delivered romantic comedy directed by Billy Crystal.

Mickey, a referee for the National Basketball Association, meets Ellen, an airline executive in Paris, and falls in love. Their transition into marriage is a bumpy affair given conflicting work schedules. Throw in a few other challenges over the years such as her dottering old father, his irritating habits, and their inability to conceive a child, and you've got a recipe for marital disaster. But somehow they keep on loving each other despite all the obstacles.

Billy Crystal is in top form as Mickey, a wise-cracking middle ager, and Debra Winger gives one of her best performance in years as Ellen. Also adding zest to the zany proceedings are Joe Mantegna as Mickey's best friend and Cynthia Stevenson as his romantic fiancee. Forget Paris is a real charmer.
