Find some piece of instrumental music that moves you or puts you in a sacred mood. It should be the kind of music that has a luring quality that easily carries you off into a dreamlike state of reverie. Save this music for special occasions when you want to experience what Hildegard [of Bingen] calls the "World of all Beauty and Music." Play it when you feel depressed or you are in need of spiritual uplift. Do not formally meditate or pray when you listen to it. Instead, let this devotion be wordless, just a sacred time to feel the goodness and beauty of God.
