Whether it be a natural catastrophe or an unnatural absurdity, life brings many different ways of tripping us over ourselves. We need to stop running away from these fallings and begin seeing their value and contribution to our spiritual journey. We don't have to worry about whether the natural catastrophes will come. We will each receive a full share of these, including the inevitability of our own death and the passing on of everyone we love.

But we can do something about bringing forth the truths that are carried by absurd experience and crazy wisdom. We can learn to be more eccentric and absurd in our everyday life and see these moments as sacred. As we cultivate the deep practice of tripping ourselves, strong connections to spirit will emerge.
