Look for the divine spark in every person you meet. Sometimes I find that it helps to squint, to bring them out of focus. The details become less sharp, and light and boundary blur. The person is still there but by altering the way we see them, we are given the opportunity to see through to the person inside. I am trying this right now as I write …. The people start looking more and more similar, which means there is less for me to judge.
