Tifereth, beauty, is the torso with its respiration from chest and lungs, and with its central nervous system emanating from the spinal cord. Tifereth is the world of the spirit within us — our sense of beautiful music and art, our appreciation of fine literature or stirring words of speech, our esteem for moving drama or graceful dance. Tifereth is our awe and honor for people of wisdom and experience and our respect for inherent worth regardless of outward appearance. We ask the tifereth in ourselves: Do I discover and appreciate beauty in my world, or am I satisfied with the conventional and the mundane?
