I was already familiar with offering focused prayers, but I began to learn more about living as the object of other people's recurrent prayers. As the focus of our friends' daily prayers, I developed a keen sense of what a blessing it was to be moved into God's heart. Over time, living in rhythm with prayers on my behalf became as much a spiritual discipline as my own devotion to prayer.
