This is one of the greatest problems the church — "the bland leading the bland" — is facing. Too many sermons fall easily into the broad brackets of the nauseatingly normal. Too many churches are filled with pastors and people doing formula church — this in a culture where travel has become a quest for the quaint, a searching for that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, of the quixotic.
