The Tibetan teacher Chogyam Trungpa sounds a little like a detective when he concludes, "When you see ordinary situations with extraordinary insight it is like discovering a jewel in rubbish." The jewel was there all the time. The ordinary is blinding, and it takes time and patience to see the shining there when we are lulled and beguiled by the daily, the "mundane."
