There is something deeply embedded in the human condition which makes us shy away from the very thing we need most. We fill our lives with noise and distractions as a means of escaping the peace and solitude which we claim to be desperate for. Perhaps we are scared of the honesty which being still faces us with. Or it may be that the attractions of the surface are more appealing than the silence of the depths.
