It was a jazz composer who said "you have to be at peace to compose." Looking closely at this peace in composing, this being composed, I think again of Meister Eckhart and "wandering joy." The love of God, joy at the thought of God or at the thought of being on a journey with God in time, seems to be released in us by a kind of detachment.
