Renunciation becomes complete when one is able to give one's love to God alone. The way of karma-yoga leads aspirants toward this natural renunciation. Aspirants who develop love of God do not force themselves to renounce the world; the world and its temptations renounce them. Renunciation, when not inspired by yearning for God-realization or Self-knowledge, leads only to self-deception and self-degradation.
