We are not omniscient, enlightened, or supremely free, and perhaps the best we can do is to drink from the well of our soul, learning as much as possible from fear and loss and thereby allowing space for little epiphanies. But the courage to be imperfect also means living courageously with our choices and their consequences. This is drinking the bitter cup of loss, bravely draining it of every drop.
