It has never been recorded that anyone ever died from an overdose of affirmation! But some have died without it! At the turn of the twentieth century, it was discovered that babies who had been placed in orphanages and who were not held and cuddled often died. They shriveled up and faded away without the affirmation of hugs and affection. Affirmations are recognitions of goodness. Young or old, we all need them. Affirmations reveal an awareness of the goodness that permeates all reality.
