Anything that strengthens the divine image is called "holy," anything that detracts from it is "unholy." This requires that we look at other people as "holy" and at our own lives as opportunities to strengthen the divine image. . . .

Judaism is the call to recognize, respect, and cultivate the divinity within ourselves and within others. Judaism challenges us to nurture and cultivate the divine image implanted within each one of us.
