So often,
the result of an encounter
with a deceased relative or friend
is an ecstatic feeling of peace and joy.
What might we learn from this?
We might learn that death
is nothing to be afraid of.
We might learn that
the goodness and joy of this life
are but a hint of what awaits us
on the other side.
We might also learn
that no matter how difficult
or painful
this life may be at times,
there is no need to think
that this is the end.
There is always more.
