Theologians suggest that what we are,
we human beings,
is embodied spirits.
So important is our bodiliness
that it can be a wrenching experience
when confronted by the death
of a relative or friend. . . .
It's nice to get a message
from beyond
that this life remains meaningful
and trustworthy,
even after death seems to deprive us
of a person we love.
