The Hindus do not have to cope with this model of the universe because they do not see the universe as God's creation — in the sense of being an artifact — they see it as God's drama. They see the world as active, not created. God is that which is pretending to be all that is. Everybody is really God, a mask of God, who is playing that He is you. But he is doing it so well that He has taken himself in. He is both the audience and the actor. He wants to get you crying. He wants to get you sitting on the edge of your seat in anticipation. God, the ultimate actor, has convinced Himself completely that the act is real.
