But the essence of God is very simple and graspable by all. Deuteronomy expresses this beautifully: "This teaching is not mysterious or remote from you. It is not in heaven. . . . It is not over the sea. . . . It is something very close to you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it." The Torah says in a hundred different ways to look and see how every single aspect of nature can lead us to a sense of the divine.
