Another, contemporary case that is quite illustrative is discussed by Rabbi Meir Abulafia. He established that the people in a neighborhood could demand the shutdown of any economic activity that generated traffic in their area. Traffic means two different kinds of problems: noise pollution and time pollution. In this case, time pollution, or everyone's loss of time in traffic jams, was an objective reason for sanctions towards the economic activity that was causing the problem.
