For Jewish spirituality, performance of sacred deeds are the seeds toward creating one's life as a work of art. The sacred deed is faith in the form of action. The sacred act is not primarily viewed as a way of providing oneself a portion in the World to Come, but as a way of providing God with a presence in this world. Performance of the sacred deed is how we as creatures bear witness to our Creator.
