While vowing poverty teaches nuns how to treat one another with divine equality, vowing celibacy teaches us how to love one another just the same. More than anything else, the call to celibacy is a call to love one another so intimately and so profoundly that we always encourage and always provide one another with enough solitude in all the togetherness, to tend to the divinity we bear within, and to allow always for reflective living and creative, contemplative activity. Such is the heart and soul of sisterhood in religious life.
