Simply put, everyone suffers. That is a given. Suffering is a birthright far more inalienable than happiness. And the shares are not allotted evenly. We need not look far to find evidence for this. How often innocents, especially children, seem to suffer an unequal, undeserved share of affliction. Since neither justice nor injustice is distributed proportionally, life is anything but fair. Not only does the rain fall but the sun also shines on both the just and the unjust.
