This is prayer of no-thinking. It is prayer without images or ideas of any kind. We hear Evagrius say that "prayer is the suppression of every concept" and: "In your longing to see the face of the Father in heaven, never try to see any shape or form when you are praying." Or again: "Blessed is the mind which has acquired a total absence of form at the moment of prayer."
