Faith as imagination unifies not only the outside world but also the inside world. Head and heart no longer need to be at odds with each other, but as mutually illuminating when it comes to personal knowledge. Faith, of course, will not add directly to our knowledge of physics or chemistry, but neither will it detract. Faith adds the poetic dimension, the dimension of meaning.
